OVAで提供されてからもう何年だろうか。
当時は20世紀末の出来事と思われていたバビロンプロジェクトも実施されることなく、すでに21世紀になって20年。パトレイバーのストーリーはもはや過去の様に思えてしまうが、改めて劇場版1作目を見ると近未来感が漂い続け、いまだ私たちの技術力は空想にたどり着いていないと知らされる。

1作目では当時はまだ話題に上ることも少なかったコンピュータウィルスを題材として、コンピュータウィルスによる社会の混乱を描いた。振り返ると数年前、WANNACRYというコンピュータウィルスで社会が混乱したことさえもすでに忘れかけてしまっている。
巨大な搭乗可能なロボットというものはいまだ実用的になっていないが、それを構成するパーツはもうすでにできており、それにまつわる事件もパトレイバーの中で見てきたようなことが実際に起きている。
ロボットが実現されていないから近未来感を感じていたが実は日常生活を描いていたアニメなのかもしれない。
そんな巨大ロボット、しかも警視庁のロボットという設定の98式イングラムが1/60スケールで再現される。
グッドスマイルカンパニーから12月に発売。割安なセット販売では作業用レイバーのHL-97 ブルドッグとペアになっている。
デカールが付いており、イングラムは1号機、2号機にすることができるうえ、TV版、劇場版のディテールの差を表現するための部品も付属。

It has already been 20 years since the 21st century, without the Babylon project, which was thought to have happened at the end of the 20th century. Patlabor’s story seems to be a thing of the past, but when we look at the first movie version again, the feeling of the near future continues to drift, and we are informed that our technological capabilities have not yet reached the world or Patolabor.
The first work depicts the turmoil of society caused by computer viruses. Looking back, we’ve already forgotten that a few years ago, a computer virus called WANNACRY disrupted society.
A huge boardable robot has not yet been put into practical use, but the parts that make it up have already been made, and the incidents related to it are actually happening as seen in Patlabor. ..
I felt a sense of the near future because the robot was not realized, but in reality it may be an animation that depicts everyday life.
Such a giant robot, and the 98-type Ingram set as a robot of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is reproduced on a 1/60 scale.
Released by Good Smile Company in December, 2020. It is paired with the working labor HL-97 Bulldog for a lower cost.
With decals, Ingram can be made as Unit 1 and Unit 2, and parts to express the difference in detail between the TV version and the movie version are also included.
